‘Pre-Easter Brain Teaser’ - Another Quiz Night Success.

The second Quiz Night of the year was held on Friday, 8th March at the Breadalbane Reading Room. The event was very well attended with nearly forty contestants eager to pit their wits against subjects as diverse as European history, Scottish folklore and Superhero movies. The event raised more than £300 to help fund projects and restorations at the Breadalbane Reading Room.

Well done to all the volunteers and a big thank you to all the Quizzers who came to support this event at the heart of our community.

Warm start to 2024

People of Kenmore and surrounds have enjoyed a cosy start in 2024 thanks to a Warm Welcome Fund grant from Perth and Kinross Council. The £2,400 grant has allowed the historic Breadalbane Reading Room in the village to open one afternoon per week as a warm and welcoming space for all members of the community to meet, enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, play board games, or just sit quietly with a book. The first few events have been very well supported. The wood panelled Reading Room, is an iconic building, gifted to the people of Kenmore in the 1880s by the then Marchioness of  Breadalbane. The room will open its doors each Thursday afternoon from 1.30pm to 4.30pm, starting Thursday, 11th January, 2024.
